Steps to fix iPad a1395 LCD
- Firstly get hold of the metallic plying tool and carefully insert it in the wedges near the edge of the front panel. The wedge is positioned between the black part of the panel and the aluminum. You don’t need to worry about the denting and scratching unless of course you damage any internal parts. This might sound easy but is harder to execute. While you insert the plying tool and start rotating it clockwise also use a screwdriver and place it on the loose part as it is very hard to move due to the metal clips in place.
- Once you loosen or break the metal clips you get the broken digitizer from your iPad loosened and opened up, you will notice a couple ribbons holding the two screens in place with the rear panel. Disconnect them from the rear panel. Start by disconnecting the digitizer locking connector. It is the thickest ribbon connector and is attached to two clips. You will need to unlock the clips by using a small pointy tool to lift the hatches up.
- Next you will have to unlock the ambient light sensor connector. It is the thin ribbon cable that sits on one of the small edges of the iPad. You will need to unlock it from the rear panel with a simple snap.
- After this you have to separate the displays connected together that is the digitizer and iPad a1395 LCD. For this you need to grab the T4 Torx screwdriver and remove eight screws that connect the LCD screen to the digitizer from the rear of the front of the assembly.
- Next you will have to take off the electronic tape that is on the side of the assembly. Now the iPad a1395 LCD screen should be loose you can separate it from the digitizer. You can do so with the help of the metal spudger.
- Next comes the thin ambient light sensor connector that you will need to remove so you can put it on the new digitizer.
- Finally you can now place the new digitizer in place of the old one. Furthermore, you have to revert back in the way you came so long. You have to place all the parts one by one and carefully fix them. If you have broken the clips you will need new ones.
Now you will have a workable iPad a1395 LCD. The process is difficult and complicated and so you should execute it only if you can discern the process well to avoid complications.
